Nature or Naughty: Bringing “Deflategate” to the High School Chemistry Classroom

The Nature or Naughty activity brings real-life context into the classroom. This catches the interest of students right away when asked "Could the under-inflation of the Patriot's footballs have been caused from the environmental conditions during the game?". The work is done in groups and the activity culminates in presentations including claims, evidence and reasoning in explaining the group's answer to the question.
