The Dynamic Density Bottle: A Make-and-Take, Guided Inquiry Activity on Density describes an activity I have used in a variety of venues spanning from science camp through General Chemistry classes. This activity naturally connects to many of the practices outlined in the Next Generation Science Standards. A worksheet that guides students through a guided inquiry activity as they construct a dynamic density bottle can be found with the JCE article highlighted in this session and on the Journal of Chemical Education’s website.
